VACUUM FREEZE-DRYING FOR PRESERVATION OF VALUABLES

Thunder Restoration uses the latest in technology to preserve water damaged documents. Our vacuum freeze-drying capability helps set us apart from other restoration companies. 

In this unique process, valuable documents are removed from the site as soon as possible. We then freeze them solid to prevent further damage. Inks will not run and mold will not grow in this frozen state. 

Frozen documents are then placed in our vacuum freeze-drying chambers where air is removed under low pressure, ice vaporized and the resulting condensation re-frozen and removed. Ink re-bonds with paper during this unique drying process and mold growth is arrested.
